This was one of those personal, dream shoots. I had been planning “Everyday Elegance” for months.

Honestly, I wanted to get this into one of the bigger fashion magazines. But it just didn’t happen. Frankly, there aren’t that many magazines that show this type of style regularly. It’s more about something being flashy or very modern. Maybe because it’s shocking and artsy? I’m totally okay with that style and would photograph it depending on many factors. But given a choice….

So the whole theory behind my shoot was to photograph styles that were elegant for different occasions and time of day. I think I succeeded. Our model Inga looked fantastic in everything. She was perfect. There were some brands of clothing I wanted to focus on and really, couldn’t be happier with what we ended up with.

The model part…. I can be very picky. It was a bit funny…. When I sent State Model Management an eMail about working together, I got a response immediately. I told Caity at State Model Management about what I had planned, and she was all in. When she sent me a package on models to choose from, I got incredibly lucky. Inga was someone I hoped they would include in the package and of course, chose her!

Why? Well, I rarely photograph blondes. I only have one in my current portfolio. And with the clothes I had chosen, I thought the blonde hair and blue eyes would really compliment the clothes. There’s also a Grace Kelly vibe. When Inga smiles…..

The team also consisting of Makeup Artist Veronica Gaona and Hair Stylist David Lutz did a fantastic job with Inga. Everyone worked so great, we actually finished 2.5 hours ahead of schedule!

It was a great shoot. I don't know if it's perfect or how much potential work it will bring in for me. All I know and can say is: I'm happy with the images.
